| Things you regret I stayed at a buddy's house friday night, and we started playing basketball at about 3pm, and across the street, my friends femal black cat got into a little tree in someones yard, directly across from where we were playing basketball, and got himself a baby bird out of the tree.
The thing had no feathers, still was a dark purple and red color, and its eyes were closed. I told my friend Mike, and he said his cat was taking after her father. I went over to the bird and the cat backed off a bit, and i was going to put it back into the tree, but, i thought "ah, its nature."
Other birds were flying about the tree, nipping at the cat, screeching, and i just watched as the cat would play with the little one, putting its head in his mouth, walk off with it, come back, nip at it some more.
While we kept playing 21, i kept watching the cat torment the bird. For some reason, and i dont know why i really felt sorry for it, and after the cat went some where else the others couldnt get to it, i kinda felt bad because i could've help it.
Anyone else ever feel guilty about something they could have prevented before? That situation to me was kinda sad. :usad

Was all aglow
How she enchanted me
Oh how I’d like to hold her near
