Question (plz read)

i was wondering if there was a way (via a program of some type most likely) to have your desktop theme change randomly when you reboot.

basically, i want to see a different picture for the desktop every time i turn on my computer

and yes, i have a nice assortment of desktop themes id want to use (in case the program requires i have them on my hd, which i would expect)

I'd make the title more descriptive next time like "Alternating Desktop Backgrounds?"

And that program probably already exists... because it's pretty easy to make. [I could probably make it pretty easy]

course there is...If i were to do it, I probably use that option where your desktop can be a webpage, then create a little PHP script to get it to randomly select pictures

alternatively, you could just use a tiny little program that'll do it for you (say...one that generates a number between 1 and X, where X is the number of pictures in a folder, then makes that image your background)

welli know shit about programming...ive tried googleing but alli find is crap "demo" versions that has txt in the center of EVERY FREGGIN PIC...and then one i got allows me to randomly get a pic, but i cant upload whati want, i have to use what they have...

and ill fix my title (well, try and get it fixed)

well, i found a program and it hought it did what i wanted, but now that ive tested ive discovered its not what im after =/

its a desktop changer like i want, but the "automate on startup" feature isnt what it hought it was. instead of it running on startup (of my computer) and shutting itself off once it changes my picture, its "automate on startup" means this:

when i turn the program on, it will change my desktop image

i thought i could add it to the startup script already, but theres a problem, it doesnt shut off on its own =/ it says it shoudl after it chagnes my desktop, but it doesnt.

so i need 1 of three things...

1. a link to a program that im looking for
2. a homemade program (hey =/ it could happen)
3. info on how to start/stop a program (i know i can start it by using bat files...but not sure if i can tell it to stop the program after x amount of time...)

theres a program u can get on download.com, but might have to pay for that feature. my friend used to have it and her desktop would be a different horse every time her comp booted up. i 4get the name tho, sorry.
