The Amityville Horror. (Possible Spoilers.)

I went to see it last night with a couple of friends and I really thought it sucked for the most part. It was more of a mental scary movie then a ''holy shit save me!'' scary movie. It's like thre 3rd movie that was called a ''Horror'' movie involving some house with evil powers or a curse that really sucked. Ysh, I'll go see House of Wax Next, just to try my bad luck. Anyone else go see this yet? What did you think of it if so?

If not, what do you think about Horror Movies in general that have a spooky house/building thats cursed or alive, or evil. A few that come to mind are: Boogyman, The Darkness, The Amityville Horror, The Grudge, and thats about all I can think of at the moment. Boogyman was ok, I explained the others and The Grudge was pretty damn cool I thought.

Discuss!

I like them all regardless. I didn't like The Grudge that much though.

yeah, i thought the grudge was pretty weak......it was the same guy who directed teh ring, so i suppose i should have expected killer little girls in nightgowns. Didnt see the darkness, but boogeyman just sucked dick.....i tried to watch it with my girlfriend but we both ended up cracking up loudly halfway through the movie and leaving.....sad.

Amen to that munchyman. I did like the part on Boogyman where the crow splatters on his winow and he crashes his car though. XD

Boogyman

Stupid movie. Retarded. Ugh. Especially the ending. Don't get me started on this movie!

The Darkness

Wtf? Horrible. Seriously, movies keep getting worse.

The Amityville Horror

For a remake, I'll give it props. However, it really ****ed over the story line. The original was much different. I was hoping that it would some-what stay by the first...following what happened, yet enchanting with modern affects...scarier scenes...and give off more of a "dark" mood. Sadly it didn't do this.

The Grudge

Pure bullshit. Bad acting, bad plot, bad eveything. It sucked.

There's my opinions. :wavey

Overall, I hate new movies...especially horror. They play on 5 second jump scenes that cause you to jerk from reflexes, and give a very vague, stupid plot. It's all about affects now days. Shitty plots, good affects. Atleast for mainstream movies.

For the house of wax,I saw the preview where a girl touched the guys face and thinks its wax, when all she needs to do is grab a sword and stab away at anything looking remotly real. If it bleeds, you killed the killer, GG if not, keep stabbing I would rule in a horror movie.
