| Would anyone else find this useful? http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74169 I myself think it would be kind of a neat extra. Basically you can set your font color/face through your cpanel, and default it...so no more typing in tags all the time.
Just a thought.
Opinions?

| I've wanted something like this for a really long time. Plus, it could really help people who post in color. x42bns, Blue, RoaCh of DisCord, Jenny, Kitty, you know. And if it can add vBcoding too, I can use it for italics. I love it. |

| the only downside is that a lot more members will want to do colors so less "originality" to posts for those members that have always posted in color.
but im all for the new edition

| This is a bad idea, in every aspect of the word. People who want to post in color or italics, etc, already do. If they aren't, they obviously don't want it bad enough because there are people who do. If you're too lazy to type [color=whatever] or [i] in front of your text, or just right click on Firefox, you don't deserve to have it there in the first place.
Also, Cort has made it clear he will hook individual people up with this if supplied enough gil, so if anyone wanted this really bad, they could become more active and hold contests or something to earn gil (50/50 raffles, etc). Be creative.
As stated, I think it's a horrible idea, and would really take away from people who already take the initiative to post in color.

| Color=Whatever would work (it makes this on IE.)
I like to post in purple and orange sometimes, but I wish I could do it all the time so I don't have to cut and paste the tags. |

| And I would love to post in the same purple as my postbit. I'd rather earn it via massive gil or through the work of manually adding it before every post though. I'm trying to earn gil because I found actually adding it was a bitch. That's one of the reasons I respect the people who already do it, enough to not want this feature made readily available, even though it'd benefit me. In fact, if it was added, I wouldn't use it, just out of principle, and that'd be a shame since I've been saving up gil to buy the feature from Cort.

| Or they could do it to express themselves a little more. Perhaps match their signatures and avatars? |

Well, we could install this and use it as a 'special' feature only type thing. Possibly have people buy it with a large amount of gil...I guess. I myself would like to see it installed for everyone...BUT...as lwek said, it could be abused and become a problem.
Possibly, a certain amount of forum posts, instead of gil? Why forum posts? As long as you're not an extreme spammer, it symbolizes some sort of elderism. That's what post count represents to me, anyway. That way, if they've been here for awhile, they're trustworthy enough to not abuse it? I'm not sure if this can be done, but possible set it to only work for people who say..have 1000 + posts. I've never seen it in action, so I don't know.

| I've heard of it, but also never seen it. I like your idea RoaCh, but then the people who don't have a lot of posts but have been here awhile and know the rules can't ue it. I know a few people who have lower then 1,000 posts and are 2002'ers. |

| To Roach, if it were going to be done like that, I think it should go by the length of time you've been here, how many posts you have, and a (smaller) payment of gil on top of both those things. I'd really just prefer just to sell it for a ton of gil though, it means you've been here a while and you have a lot of posts

| I think your idea isn't fair to some members Az, mainly because:
1. There are people who joined within the past three months nand have tons of posts. (You, for example.)
2. There are people who can fit one of the requirments, but would find it impossible to fit the others. This mostly has to do with either the points part or the posts part. People either have one or the other in most cases.
3. This concludes the fact that many people who rightfully deserve to use this won't be able to.
Make it available for everyone please. |

| It would be OK, I suppose..... But then people might start using this far too much, and we'd have a very very colourful (even annoying) BattleForums.*
