Hard Drive Transfer

Hello everybody
I just sold my old comp. but I kept the hard drive that was in it and put in a different one. My question is if I put this hard drive in my new computer that is coming will Windows xp allow me to go on and get all the stuff I want or is it going to ask me to activate before I can log on? Thanks for the help.

Windows XP will still shout at you to register no matter what you have on your hard drive(s), so yes, you will need to activate it if it is a new license. But placing your old hard drive onto the computer should cause no problems.*

Store all your stuff via CD, then you can keep that hard drive and reformat it. Then you have 2 hard drives to do what you want.
