Ever since I started playing chess, I've been making two fatal errors: not playing defensively whatsoever, and using the same opening move every game. The aggressive offense I used usually catches people off guard the first game (which is why I have never lost my first game in real life), but after that, they catch onto it, and adapt to my opening move, which wasn't a very good one to begin with (4 point opening.. ugh).

Anyways, I decided that I needed to develop new openings, and work on a more balanced game altogether (especially my opening). My mid-game was fairly decent and my end-game was usually excellent. Horai showed me that it wasn't good enough though, defeating me every single game. Sometimes it was close, sometimes it wasn't, but the point is he owned me hardcore.

I started trying to work on those things about two weeks ago, and since I have had nothing to do for the last few days, and everything has been closed, I have been at yahoo.com, playing chess almost non-stop, trying to work on it. Developing new strategies and trying a lot of new openings, I actually started beating really good people, like over 50% of the games. Last night I was playing until about 6 in the morning, just training.

Finally, after over two weeks of work, and 2 days of non-stop training, I am satisfied that my game is at its highest point ever. I don't think I've ever been this good. I challenged Levi less than an hour ago, and it was truly a slaughter. My thoughts are, though, that he was used to my old strategy, and didn't expect me to be any good. Now he is busy downloading music so he can't play anymore.

So basically, I want to see how my altered tactics help my overall game. If anyone wants to play, let me know on here or PM me or something. I'll play at any site, your choice. This is especially directed at Horai, whom I almost beat the last game we played (omfg stupid queen trap ).

Levi played me again, and he got pwnt I made a serious mistake in my defense at one point (being a little over aggressive sometimes still), but I didn't notice it until 2 turns later when I fixed it, and he didn't notice at all Anyone else want to play?
