| Constantine. Better than I thought it would be, but still not fantastic. Like "The Prophecy" but with way more special effects. Keanu Reeves is as wretched an actor as ever. Luckily, he is given good lines and a great character to divert your attention from the fact that he is the worst big name actor in Hollywood. Constantine could almost have been one of my favorit movie of the kind, but it dragged a bit too much, the story got a wee bit confusing after a while, and as I said, Keanu can't act. However, the ending is great, and I wont spoile it for you, but I'll ask this : is gabriel a man or a woman ? it seems to have the face of a woman, but her body doesn't seem to have any feature at all, and her voice in french wasn't really distinguishable.
Anyway, it was a good flick, the ending was very well told, and if you like catholic-gothicism-type movies, you will enjoy it afterall. |

| It was like the Matrix meets the Exorcist. Keannu Reeves just doesn't strike me as a chain-smoking, cross-bearing hero. They should've had someone else play the part. |

| I saw it Friday night. It was pretty cool. The subject of the movie was a bit iffy, but the ending was pretty neat. Keanu may not be able to act, but he is sexy. |

I loved his frustrated and psycotic attitud and demeanor, that couldn't have been better. But the apparence of a late-40ish, badly shaved bald male doesn't cut it for me when we're talking about an angel who fell because of his pride in himself. :P

| I want to watch it because Gavin Rossdale has his first roll in it. How important is that role? Is he good or does he suck as actor?

| Altough his caracter only had a minor role in an already badly told story, he was nonetheless playing the main villain, Balthazar. I'd say he did a good impression, but you've got to take into account that the caracter he incarnated didn't had a wide range of expressions to assume, nor any impressive performance to do. It was a limiting caracter. But still, he managed to do good job at it, and heck, his performance was more demanding than Reave's performance was.
Oddly enough, I checked on imdb.com, and in his role description, it says that he was playing, and I quote "Balthazar (as Gavin Rossdale)". Does that mean he was playing himself ? :P
edit : well, im pissed. I' just read there was a scene after the credit. I missed it. bleh !

| Constantine looks like a quite excellent, and, as in the Matrix, the total amazingness of Keaneau Reeves character saves it from his bad acting , as B~E says. As to gabriel, it seems to me that he is just a girlie man, or maybe both. |
