| Multiple OSes? simply, whats the best way to do this?
ill prolly have more questions as we go

| Only thing I could think of is partioning a HD into 3 parts, DOS, Linux, Windows. I'd have it start up in DOS so you could open either Linux Or Windows (Mac if you wanted.) |

| If you're thinking about installing linux...just put it on a seperate partition and it will install something called a bootloader..which will let you simply choose which OS you want to boot into. As for other OS's...you still install them on seperate partitions.

| Yeah, make new partions or get them their own harddrives if you dont want to loose your current data. If it isnt linux your putting in (another version of windows by chance) you can use the xp boot loader, there are some other bootloader programs, if you need, ill look for them again.

| yeah its linux.
and so just get my other hard dirve (nothing on it) and install linux on it and linux will have its own thing so i can choose which one i want to run at startup?

| Answer to thistle: because i want to try other OSes with still having windows to play games and run my programs.
And to roach: Which one do u suggest?

| There are multiple good versions, like mandrake and slackware, its really up to you on what to decide. I started with Xandros cause it had the windows feal....but nothing would install on it except for the stuff they give you....kinda pointless.....
