| The fine line has been crossed...
Today seemed like anormal day until the unexpected. My friend learned how to make a .bat file at our school, since they dissallow the ability to do that. I won't say how he did that, but he did. After running it, it sent a message to every computer, and the network admin got VERY pissed! She gave him 5 days out of school suspention with a note saying "Student created a batch file that was sent to all computer in school, interrupted classes that were testing in NWEA Lab. Lesser form of hacking/ shoould be be adding/chaning setting on computer" HACKING!? HE DID NONE! CHANGING SETTINGS ON A PC!? HE DID NONE! He didn't break any rule! It never says that netsending isn't allowed, so he shouldn't get OSS. Tommorow (or maybe today...) I'll be argueeing for his side at school. Our 'dictator' has also said that it cost them $1,000 to fix this! ONE-****ING-THOUSAND DOLLARS!?!?!? BULLSHIT!
I say it's time to rise up against the powers and make our voice heard: a voice that arguees for freedoms, a voice that agruees for the side of the victim, not the criminal. A voice of change!

| We do this all the time in my drafting class-
if he doesnt have Fortress activated we have to hack profiles and stuff to access everything.
i once logged into the CPU as the Admin and i sent a message to everyone in the class who was logged in under their name a the time-
it was something about a note the prep people were passing around about this girl being pissed off because..
a guy pissed in her mouth
kinda funny...
there was a lot of laughing for a good 5 minutes. i turned the situation into a joke..
hacking school computers is easy to do- its a comon thing at my school
out teacher doesnt care- hes a cool guy
we once hacked into the library computer tha keeps anouncements posted on the TVs in school and placed a picture of someone mooning a camera all over the school.
the guy got caught and we all got 2 days of OSS (me and 2 other people plus the guy in the picture)
our school is shit

| I would like to see one competent high-school/middle-school level IT guy.
My school finally got Firefox installed on all the computers, and they use this shitty ass 'protection' software, that blocks certain sites, and whenever someone gets one (it could be for various things, not just porn), everyone thinks you were trying to look at porn.

| I used to work for school IT people. I used to be the one to catch people writing batches of netsends. Fun times.
And no, it doesn't cost a grand, even if they were testing...windows messeges woudln't crash anything.

| Funny thing is there's this Mexican guy who was in my Science class last year, the teacher was a pot head and he let us on his computer, which has the same protector thingy. Well he just went to google images and typed in 'Panocha Latina' and *BOOM*

| Just to let you know, hacking is a felony and you can get up to a $5000 fine and/or up to 5 years in prison. And if you argue its' not hacking, the definition that the system goes by basically says hacking is "unauthorized use of computer and network resources", now tell me, does that really sound like a smart thing to do? Being expelled is no where close to being the worst of your worries.
