How many times have you typed out a long post and left it?

I can't recall the number of times I've typed out a long, thoughtful post with plenty of valid arguments, but refrained from doing so for one reason or another. Beit not wanting to piss off people I like, but disagree with on something, or just being disgusted altogether with the argument itself.

I'm not totally sure if it's being afraid of admitting I have a weakness, or a part of me I'd just rather not show over the internet.

I've typed out long arguments in The Asylum and BattleStaff, but after the 5th paragraph I'd lose my train of thought and I wouldn't be able to close the post properly. I'd end up convincing myself that I might as well just close the window and do something else.

I've typed long responses before and figured half of the members wouldn't read them due to the shear lengths, but I said **** it and posted them anyways, heh.

When my computer was having problems, it used to crash when I hit the 3 paragraph mark Bad timing I suppose.

I have done it a couple of times, but then I just quit doing it because it took me forever. It's so much easier if you just post it, and I don't care if I get flamed.

i have done that. but its more, half way through i realize i am repeating the same arguemnt over again, and it is so weak there is no point in making myself look stupid

sometimes i cant make sense of what i just wrote, and still post it.

I hate long posts. Everybody can say what they mean in 100 words - how many can do the same in 10?

if i make a good long post i post it. i dont really care bout reprecussions... generally i mean what i say. if i disagree with something that may have come out wrong ill edit something.

the real question is how many times have you made a long thoughtful post... then by accident x'ed it out, or your computer crapped out. that happens all to often, and sometimes i say screw it after that.

Yes I've done it quite a bit if I start to type something to someone and saw screw it this is stupid and just press the back button.

All the time in the BS Forum. Which is why I am in there a lot. Always questioning whether I'd get good feedback there or somewhere else.
