BattleForums Abstinence Challenge

It will be one year tomorrow that I made that immensely popular Avatar Challenge thread. Even 364 days later there are 2 remaining participants (although I doubt they remember they're in the damn thing). Talking about the Avatar Challenge is not the point of this thread though. I propose a new challenge. One that is most definately more difficult than the AC. The goal? Practice BattleForums abstinence for the longest amount of time compared to everyone else.

What does this mean you ask? It means that if you were to sign-up for this, you would not be able to post on BattleForums anymore*. Of course, no one can stop you from browsing, but absolutely no posting. Think you can conquer your BattleForums addiction and be the last one standing at the end of it all? If so, test your physical and emotional limits by becoming part of this once in a lifetime opporunity.

You will be required to sign-in to this thread approximately once a month to make sure you're still around. No sense having a competion that has 6 people that just leave; it would just null the thread. Failure to do so will get you disqualified from the challenge.

*You may post in this thread and this thread alone.

Sign-ups will end in a few days, so if you are going to take part, make sure your posts count - they might be the last ones from you in a while. There isn't a tangible or quantitative prize (other than the contents of the prize bucket ) for winning the BAC other than bragging rights (should you come back after winning) and self-gratification.

I have to admit at first I thought you meant we couldn't segs each other, or any real women/guys IRL.

I could toss in 500 Gil to be used toward glowing usernames, name-formatting, etc if that'd help.

Sadly me signing up for this one would be impossible, but with all these holiday avatars going around, I think redoing the Avatar challenge would be perfect.

People with Santa hats on their avatars in the middle of July.

You could do Avatar Challenge version: Christmas. The last part would be pretty good.

I believe your 500 (+4500? ) prize would help persuade people to get on the horses back, so I guess I'll include it.

I will also contribute 500 of my own Gil into the newly created Prize Bucket. I guess you could call it a wager, but it isn't necassary.

I'm in. I just started coming here and I don't have a problem with not posting, other then once a month. I can just browse this place, but are PMs allowed? However since I'm not an addicted forum member would this be a challenge for me? Or should I stay active get addicted (I doubt that will ever happen) and then try to enter this challenge whenever that happens.

No, if I did this it'd kill BF since we all know the place revolves around my posts.

I'd definatley be in it if there was an Avatar Challenge v2, since I hadn't changed my NIrvana avatar for like a year and a half, until now, but it's just the same xmas-ified, and I'd be willing to keep that one too!

They keep a log of it when the person began the challenge. They will check thier last post done. If it's within the 1 year "vow of silence" YOU LOSE BIATCH!!!!
