Tricks of the Trade: Game Scams

Game Scandles

I do not take credit for writing anything here, i am merely trying to make a nice guide to those who want to beat the system, legally or otherwise.

  • table of contents
  • - Trade in Deal Scam
  • - Shitty Game Scam

- Shitty Game Scam
[color=darkolivegreen]
-0- : A lot of stores these days hold trade in deals where you can trade in three used games and get one new one in exchange. Though not practiced as much recently, some stores still do it, so heres what you should do to get a brand new release for only $20 instead of $50-60

-Step 1:

-o- Go down to walmart or target or k mart (all carry cheap shitty games.) and find their gaming section.

-Step 2:

-o- Find the clearance bin; they all have one, and purchase three shitty games. Scam done! You can now trade them in for your new game, and at maybe five bucks a game you make off like a bandit. Best part: Its perfectly legal.

---------------------------------------------------------------

-Trade in Deal Scam

We've all had it happen. You buy a game, and play it only to find that its a pilfering piece of shit. And, as you try to return it, you realize you cant return opened games. Simple solution.

-Step 1:

-o- The only step here is to go down to a store that DOES let you return an opened game and purchase it. Return the closed one you just bought to the first store and the open one to the second. Problem solved.

What you do is buy a game get the cd key and go back and say "yeah this game didnt work on my computer" and they will be like ok well heres a new game (with a diff cd-key).. i know for a fact that this works i have done it numerous times.

So you mean after copying the CD-Key just tell them the CD is uncompatible.. or that like it's broken or something?

Akule, the 2nd isnt too smart, i duno bout u ppl but i would be freaking pissed if a bought a diablo 2 on the shelf, went home, installed it, and it said cdkey in use, or counter-strike with the cdkey already registered. the first one is better, the 2nd is all too common

not a bad set of ideas:

only problem: the only place i really know of that does trade-ins (old games for 1 new one) would be Gamestop...and the problem here, is there trade in is really "give us enough old crap games to equal in value of the one u want" so i wouldnt really make much off of it =/

your second idea has a problem: if you know of a store that allows you to return opened games...then buy it form that store in the first place ;D

but yeah i can see how itd help if u didnt think like that in the first place...

wish there were more scam ideas like what you posted
