| Spybot: Search and Destroy, as well as Ad Aware and I believe Startup Cop managed to catch the spyware that infested my computer after my inexperienced friend clicked "OK" on the popup security policy software install statements. Plus, they were free. |

But, i run ad-aware SE and spybot search and destroy.
The simple solution: Check your computer for viruses once a month. Check for spyware once a week. And switch to a safer, and all around better browser, Firefox.
Also, if you dont have a firewall.... hardware (router) or software.. get one now. hardware is the way to go, cuz software ones bug you to much. |

| Ad-Aware 6.0 (Free) and Spybot Search & Destroy.
If you MUST use IE (for example, your computer is severely underpowered), then get the Google toolbar and make sure SDHelper.exe is running to aid your IE blocking pages.*

| You should just use Safari. I use it and don't need any spyware removal. |

| I just cleaned out my comp yesterday of all the viruses and spyware .gif) got 7 virus, and some spyware. I dont normaly have anti-virus i can usaly kill all the viruses on my comp, normaly uses zonealarm and ad aware SE full, by the moment i have norton anti-virus 2, cuz i have just formated and got alot of virurses direcly after cuz i was pluged in the network on a lan whith lot of viruses .gif) .
But i think the anti-virus progz slow down your comp speed 2 much, atleast norton do that alot, so i usaly run without. |
