| German Version of Stalingrad(rent a translated version), russian movie called "war", American movies called "enemy at the gates" and "saving private Ryan" i would also suggest a series "band of brothers".

| Band of brothers is the one to see, but it's not a movie. It's 10 episodes of one hour each, I think... Will give you plenty of time |

| Cold mountain and pearl harbor are more of love stories, though there is some action.
Enemy at the gates is good. So is the Patriot. So is windtalkers. U571 is great. Tora tora tora is a decent one about pearl harbor that is more action, but a little older
