my sound doesnt work. at all. It was working fine until i left my comp and came back!


Alright, heres what i use:

My mic is a headset that hooks up to this little jack thingy that has a bunch of diff channels (used to use for SC). My speakers are also hooked up to it or directly to the computer or something, and theres a switch ican flick to change between headfones and speakers. Its nifty. Anyway suddenly head fones no worky worky. then i switch to speaker mode, and they dont work either, so i plugged my headfones directly into the computer but no sound still... any one help?

The contact on the MB may be broken, or the contact on your soundcard if u have a not inbuild soundcard.

It depends, sound chipsets (RealTek Audio A937 for example) are very buggy and tend to do that. Either buy a sound card, check to see if all drivers are updated, or if your chipset is taking punishment such as heat. I suffer the same problem, but I am getting a new soundcard shortly to counter.
