| I actually suggest you stick with Notepad.....
You can use Yahoo! Pagebuilder, if you want to, that is. I don't know any others. |

| Yeah, I love my Dreamweaver, also. Better than Frontpage, IMO.

Right now, I use TextPad, a souped-up version for text editors. Great thing. |

| x42 the advantages of using a WSIEGELKJSL(sorry im to lazy to look up the real name) editor (like dreamweaver) is that it use color cordinaton of your tags. It actually makes coding ALOT easier because you can see how tags fit together and stuff. And i would say it gives you alot better code then notepad.
But yea the only disadvantage is price. There are free editors like dreamweaver out there though. |

| How about advanced text editors?
TextPad is shareware but damn good.
And it's WYSIWYG. |

| For once I'd have to agree with x42bn6, I use UltraEdit with wordlists/taglists for whatever language I use with it (PHP, HTML, etc...) which colorcode tags, keywords and functions
I've used Dreamweaver lots but I always fall back to UltraEdit |

| Dreamweaver si way better than frontpage, But I hate those programs. They reuire no actual skill in creating websites. Good for ppl who dont know anything, but when u know how to do things, I think it is alot better looking in the long run without dreamweaver and all that crap. |

| The best way to make a website is to get Dreamweaver (MX 2004). If you want to find out how to get one (*cough* without *cough* paying *cough* IM me) XxLordxPhoenixX. Don't use notepad unless you plan to know these things and want to be a Webmaster and it is a bit slower (well, alot really) but you learn from errors and stuff. The trial one is free for like a month or so? And also what type of site? Will it be just a regular HTML? Flash? PHP? Will you have a forum? Don't listen to the people that told you to get a GEOCITIES.com site. Just look at all the geocities sites, they all look n00bish and will look bad for you. If you want a short domain i suggest getting a .tk (dot.tk is the url if you want to register). Some good webhosts are : web1000.com , 50megs.com, netfirms.com, cycorpfree.com, and others. I suggest getting one with an FTP and netfirms, cycorp, and web1000 come with that. If you need more help contact me via AIM. Don't use Geocities or Yahoo it will look noobish. By the way, If you use netfirms (which is a good host) there's a way u can remove the ads on it. (Just IM me and I'll tell you the secret). |
