| Am i normal??? Alright i'll be frank. After shifting from forum to forum, i've noticed tons upon tons upons tons of stuff related to the FF series, some SNES game called chrono-something-or-w/e, Street Fighter and mortal combat and anime from sigs to avys to people's names...when it hit me; i think i've been living under a rock for the past 17 years of my life.
I say this because i possess lalmost no knowledge of the 5 subjects. I had all the gaming consoles but never used them, i never played any of the FF games and the only anime i do watch/watched is Akira, Inu Yasha, Vampire Hunter D and Ninja Scroll. I only played the original street fighter for SNES so whatever new stuff capcom made about the series i have no idea about and same goes for mortal combat.
Quite frankly it's kinda depressing cause most of the time when these 5 subjects spring up i completely lost and confuzzled on wtf people are talking about, and it makes me feel like i've wasted a better part of my childhood. You see, while i did have many consoles, unlike most people my generation I spent my time outside playing in the woods in the back of my house with friends, making tree houses, having watergun fights and playing football and paintball, so essentially i was an outdoors kid. for the first 15 years of my life i spent 98% of my time or more outside, only venturing indoors to eat, sleep, and use the bathroom which if it was only take a piss, i'd do outside too. This is having a depressing effect on me because of recent changes (unwanted, i didn't want things to end up like this) to my lifestyle, i spend most of my time infront of my comp lost in a see of obscurity composed of facts about console and anime stuff and things i missed out on as a kid, which i had the opportunity (i had the consoles, t.v. channels that played anime and the time) to learn about these things, but i never did...
man i'm so depressed right now....

| Hey...don't worry about it. I know plenty of people who have no knowledge of the five things. Yo uare different, just like I am different. I knew very little about anime before BattleForums. Have only played FFT, FFTA, and FF VII. Not familiar with street fighter, and have played part of Chrono Trigger. ANd i hate mortal kombat. So, that is just how you are. Everyone is different, and if you are happy with the things you do, then don't worry about it. |

| Yeah i guess i shouldn't. I was really happy as a kid, and in really good shape too.
It's just that i feel i missed out on something, maybe it's just me, or maybe i really did waste 15 years. |

| you just have something called a life. i used to do crap outside when i was younger too... when i started getting into gaming and computers though... that was it. im starting to get out more again... but im still pretty lifeless. just go out to play paintball and stuff... never just go out to go out anymore... only go out if i have something to do, or someone to go with.

| It sux for me cause now i live in a big city in downtown near the metropolitan area so there aren't any woods or places to go have fun at anymore. Most of the time when i do go outside i wander around aimlessly trying to find somethin to do
I guess one of the reasons for me being this way is cause i feel out of place like a fish out of water. I was always a rural kid, so this enviromental adjustment isn't doing to good for me. |

| Re: Am i normal??? Eh, it's aight... You are normal, you just had better things to do with your life then waste your time on the f'n game consoles and computer, or tv... I wish I had a life like yours, I never got outside till about a year ago, never had friends, never had a gf, but then I finally realized what I was missin outside... So I just tried and won a bunch of friends and girls over...
So, we have had totally different lifestyles, I just took yours over...

| I still go outside all the time and spend most of my days there. While the city may be lame compared to the woods, there's still places to go and things to do. I usually try to be creative in using up my time. I'm surprised because i still have a pretty vivid imagination despite the fact that im 17 |
