? What is wrong ?

I have a problem with opening any bot that I download. Everytime I download a bot and try to open it the little "open with" box comes up and it tells me to select a program to open the bot with...what am I supposed to select or is this just happening because I have Windows 2000 it used to work. Downloading bots before when I had XP was no problem, but now its getting annoying..

WinZIP - The most popular decompression software.

WinRAR - Pretty popular aswell. It handles a lot of other filetypes.

I'm guessing that was the problem as well...WinXP has an integrated decompression software for .zip files and .tar files (I think tar is supported...) Windows 2k however, does not.

i would strongly suggest winRAR for decompression, because it opens RAR, ZIP as well as other comppresseion file types

Yes, use Winrar, the reson it asked to open with something is because it didn't know what to do with the file types. WinRar > WinZip

...yeah, and when you run winrar, it just opens up the damned thing. If you need help with that, you need to hit Start > Shut Down and never touch a computer ever again in your life.
