Gzip help

Don't move to tech because it will never be seen by summit there .

Alright here's the problem I'm tyring to convert a back up but as a sql it's far to large to just upload throught the pannel and there's no way I'm pasting this thing peice by peice.

But if I d/l it in gzip it will work but the thing is it wont let me download in gzip because the server it's hosted on is gay and gives you action cancaled when youre download should be starting.

so my question is. Is there anyway to compress this back up after you have downloaded? So you can still run it through a database which max size is 51,200KB. (Tz gzip?)

Sorry Theroy. However just send him the link to the thread, or just ask him in a PM.

So you are trying to compress a file.... why don't you try a better/less awkward program to compress what ever you are trying to compress and have failed to do so? You could paste this thing piece by piece... and if it is too large then you will have to compress the pieces. Pkzip and winzip are decent compression programs.
