Re: Iron Man
When an actor edits a film enough that a director no longer wants to have his name on it, that is a problem.

Re: Iron Man
I loved the movie, very entertaining, though I think I'll enjoy The Dark Knight more.
When I stayed after there were at least thirty other people waiting. One guy asked if we all thought there was something after. |

Re: Iron Man
Iron Man was bad-ass, I mean minus the whole 'super-hero' thing Robert Downey Jr. is very similar to Tony Stark, the whole alcoholism/drug parallel anyways.
The opening scene with the hummers was such a great opening scene I might add.

Re: Iron Man
Even if you read the entire script, it's not like there are many 'spoilers' about the movie or anything. There's no shocking plot twists or 'secrect killers', and the entire movie (which this may be it's only downfall) is that it's incredibly easy to figure out what's going to happen.
Well, at least it was with me cause I knew what all the characters end up being.

Re: Iron Man
The only people that would rage about a film like that are either Anti-DC people (which probably wouldnt see the movie anyways), or Iron Man fanatics that thought there were too many continuity issues or things wrong with the film itself.
Look at TMNT 3 back in the day, talk to any hxc TMNT fan: They would probably tell you it was one of the worst movies ever on that franchise. |

Re: Iron Man
A lot of people complained about the Feudal japan one because of the bad costume designs and some other issues.
I personally thought the concept of time travel was pretty cool. Considering it was 1993 the film was made. But thats the issue many comic book themed or show themed movies need to face: How fans will react. Speed Racer and Indiana Jones will have this pressure. But it doesnt really matter unless the film manages to make more money than it did in production costs. However, Ironman managed to gain success. I only watched the old animated series of Iron Man and some crossovers with him on Spider Man. But I think I am going to like it. And Mike, who has read the comics and knows more about DC and Marvel than I do, seemed to have been pleased with it.
