| Picking a degree. I've come to the point in my life, at the university, where I have to pick a degree. I'm not somebody who went in with a plan and I'm still don't have a plan. I'm not good at math, I'm terrible with foreign languages, and I'm not really good with anything scholastic. I have no real idea of what I want to do. It sucks. Help.

What do you like? See if any majors can come close to it.
If you have a careerer development center or something like that i suggest you go there and tell them your story. They help a lot

| Re: Picking a degree. And by private yacht, I really meant on foot, with a backpack, in a foreign hostile ex-communist nation, busy selling our starved diseased bodies for a few euros, maybe enough not to sleep in the rain again.
Anyway, thats how I see my post-university years, building caracter and all that. |

| Re: Picking a degree. I can see Jenny as one of those people who works the ticket booth at the movie theater until she's in her late forties and going bald.
Seriously though? Bartender at a nice club. It's social, relatively easy on people who aren't math-minded or booksmart, and it's more interesting than a deskjob. Probably your hardest task will be memorizing all the drinks, and I'd guess you already know a few anyways. May not be a glorious job, but it could pay the bills without leeching your soul a little bit every day.
Insults aside, I could actually see Jenny doing pretty well in that sorta job. This would also let you choose whatever degree you would like to have simply because you enjoy it, as I don't think you need a degree for that, only a license. |
