Today I waited on the owners of a EXPENSIVE italian restaurant called Nannis. I have gone there many times and love the food.
So I am killing these ladies with kindness, kept their table clean, their glasses full and their tea hot. Even though they were being a total pain in my ass (being picky and whatnot) I was courteous to them. They racked up a 75$ tab and didn't tip me. not a dime.
Why? they have a personal vendetta against my manager and the owner.
So tonight the manager (my friend jenny in my last whiny thread) and I are going to Nannis. When dinner is through we will politely thank our waiter and tell him the owners told us not to worry about his or her tip, that they would take care of it.
While I feel bad about not tipping someone who did nothing to me, we want to make a point.

Tonight, revenge will be a dish served hot.

yeah, we did.
We both felt bad not tipping so, we did. It was good enough watching them squirm with us there.

The food was ****ing delicious too! good dinner all around.

what can I say, we both felt like it was wrong to not tip someone who is working for tips. we took the high road, but it was awesome to see the crazy ***** daughter nearly **** herself when she saw us. stopped right in her tracks.

how do I screw myself by not screwing someone else? karma can be a ***** and I want her on my side.

karma is a filthy ***** too....only reaso that upsets me is I've served alot and worked in the ideal place for a long time and I just have a bigger respect for servers and **** now. It really ruins someone's day when they get no tips. you should know. Me....I wouldn't of ****ed with the server....I woulda did something more grand and effective.

Servers also shouldn't expect tips damnit. what the hell is the point of tips if everyone is expected to tip always. Then some places actually include tips, and business have the nerve to pay less with the expectation that the customers simply tip more.

psssh. servers here in the states get paid $2.50 ph(sometimes less, sometimes more) most if not all of which is sucked up by taxes.
we use tip money to pay rent and bills. you can make great money if you work in a busy or high end place. the hope is to make at least 100$ a night.

So for chirsts sake, when you come over to america, tip your waiter. same goes for you australians.

yeah i realize that.

With minimum wage here is $8.00 and increases by .75 cents every year until it reaches 10.25 by 2010.

Man I made 10.50 an hour last summer plus tips as a server. it was so sweet.
