I'm trying to say.

"Look at my pretty painting."

You didn't answer my question.

Re: Digital Painting

Can you back that up considering you have no ability whatsoever or knowledge of artistic criticism?

You don't need to respond. The answer is clear.

Re: Digital Painting

No offense to you carbon, but I wish you wouldn't post your work if you're going to get really defensive about it.

It looks very flat and lacks detail.

You're right. Why would I post something when people here are too immature to take anything seriously. Sure Soul's painting may have more detail. But did he use a reference? Probably. Did he use a grid? Probably. Did he take a photo and smudge it to make it look like a painting? Maybe. I came to the wrong place to look for critique on my first digital painting.

I used a palette I created, I had an idea that was original.

Re: Digital Painting

What? dude, I'm talking about yours not souless's. I'm talking about what you did wrong, not what you did right. That's what a critique is.

Much thanks. I thought something like:

"Good try, I think adding more depth and detail to the tree would add a lot to it"

Would seem like a better critique than "Very flat, lacks detail."

But than again, I'm not the person giving critique.

Looks to me that, with examples like those, you don't need us then.

**** a goat about it deviantart faggot spawn. Art critics are just as full of shіt as their hoodlum counterparts, the only difference is art critics are afraid to appeal to something new outside their own field. Go ahead and run to someone that's going to menstruate their emotional theories about your pathetic attempt at art. I don't need to detail my aesthetic judgment about your work. I have no appreciation of it and I made it clear. Don't tell me you posted your digital painting in pursuit of a rational critique without mentioning it. At least do that before you start lashing about my perfectly decent discernment.

Your painting sucks. Quit trying.

Re: Digital Painting

You said nothing right there other than I should have posted that I wanted critique, and that my painting sucks. I'm looking for reasons why it sucks. Don't get so raged.

@everyone.

I think it's less the fact I'm being defensive, and more the fact everyone is so hostile.

You don't need to respond. The answer is clear.
There was plenty said, your low-grade observations (which you'll need to develop if you want to get any where with art) lead you to believe that I was raged. I separated myself clearly from your emotional runts, rage is out of the question.

You didn't say you wanted to know why I think your painting sucks prior to your last post. Don't try taking back what you said jerkoff. I have nothing more to add other than it sucks, draw your own imaginative conclusions about my statement. Maybe this will help: Any defecating orifice

Here's the "art" that Carbon made if anybody else would like to critique this joke, since he took it down:
