| Re: Reporting from Vista i keep imagining what windows is gonna be like in the future..
like popups coming up over icons telling you how to double click, health and safety windows always popping up to remind you that banging your head on the monitor hurts, or reminders telling you to wipe your ass and wash your hands if it senses youve just taken a dump..

| Re: Reporting from Vista The screenshot is to show you how gorgeous it is. DON'T GET SUCKED IN, KIDS.
It took me 15 minutes to a first-time network start, and the tackiness of Internet Explorer 7 made me cry. I couldn't even disable Aero because I don't have the permissions to do so. Needless to say, I was back on KDE a few minutes later.
In about 5 years, I'll be complaining about Microsoft Windows Blue Screen or something. 15 minutes...* |

| Re: Reporting from Vista I've had Vista for the better part of 7 months and it runs much smoother than XP, and it's features mean I don't want to go to any other OS.
and who the hell uses IE?

| Re: Reporting from Vista I'm on Vista right now, and its not so bad. It just takes longer than XP to get it to a tolerable point. I'm used to disabling 30% of the OS's bloat when I do a clean install, so I'm not surprised that Vista is just more bloated, but otherwise the same ole stuff. |

and who the hell uses IE? | I run KDE (essentially Ubuntu, 7.04) and it makes Windows look shameful. A slow computer runs faster than Windows on a faster computer - that's how bad it is.
Vista is naggy. By trying to accommodate every single requirement known to man, it becomes bloatware.* |

I haven't been "Bombarded" with any **** since my first few days when I used the intelligent thing and turned features like that off. Quote:

| Do you know how frustrating it is for older people to accidently click something and without warning something happens you had no intention of happening. Not everyone using a computer is young, and not everyone knows exactly what they need to be doing.
stop being so damn self centered.
