| USB trouble, help!! hey, it seems that i might have some conflict with my USB driver, dunno if i picked up a virus that my scanner doesn't see or its just conflicting with a recent update or installation i must have made. If u have any ideas on how to tackle this issue i would appreciate it.
PS: forgot to mention that it leaves a log on my events and when i try to connect anything to the USBs, it lags my PC like crazy, i even have to reboot it
Thanks

| Is it just one USB port or all of them?
Also, this is exactly why we need the technology forum back. Every PC gamer needs help with hardware or software at some point and all of us share an interest in it.

| That's windows for you. It could be a virus, or perhaps failing hardware. It's really hard to say. Chances are though, it's just windows being weird.
You could try running a different virus scanner...see if it picks anything up.

| So it is all of the ports and not just one that's acting up?
Honestly I would just reformat, it's the quick fix, though I'm a reformat ****.

Right click My Computer and go to Properties>Hardware>Device Manager and see what it says under Universal Serial Bus Controller. Right click whatever it says and go to Properties>Drivers and click Update Driver. |

| Well I was just trying to help since you didn't have the common sense enough to type what kind of file you need in google, but I guess you would have had to actually use your brain to do that. Coming from an ignorant ass who's racist towards americans, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
The only time that's been wasted here is mine for trying to help someone without a brain. |

Anyways, sounds to me like your driver = taking the ****s. |
