| Headphones or earbuds? :rainfro Which do you prefer? When I listen to my iPod, I have earbuds. They are much more portable and aren't as clunky as traditional headphones. I agree that headphones may be more comfortable and have better sound quality, but earbuds are just so much easier to bring around. If I were listening to music at home on my computer and I had a nice pair of headphones, I would probably use the headphones instead because I would feel more comfortable. They can be so damn expensive though.:hop |

| I've seen people with big clonking headphones and I always imagine they are listening to those tapes that are like "People are your friends. They are nice. No one will hurt you." to help them not be afraid of people or something. I think earbuds do a nice job at blocking the sound too. Some of the higher end ones block out all sound and have better sound quality than most headphones. I think my friend had a pair which cost over a hundred dollars. |

| yeah but the people around you think you can still hear. with the large onces that appear to block sound, people get the message.
which isnt really useful unless you're stuck using public transportation. |

| Nothing says "Shut the **** up, ******" better than being in the middle of a conversation, as as soon as the other person speaks, lifting your huge DJ style headphones, and putting them on and staring blankly.
trust me. |

| I use earbuds because of convenience. The glare I give people makes them leave me alone.
Besides, with as loud as I listen to the music, people ten feet away can distinguish lyrics (when there even are any in the song)...and most people understand that when it's that loud for bystanders, any hope of the person with the headphones in their ears actually hearing anything else is pretty much foolhardy. |

| Earbuds are bad for your ears if you listen to them any higher than a 2ft sound radius, btw. |

| If they see some disgust in my eyes, that also helps to repell them yes. But goddamn it, it seems like it's always when I have my headphones in that they want to bug me. I'm going to just start hitting them with my shoe when they look at me. |

| i like the earbuds better because of the size and a lot less likely to break on you if you are packing stuff away in a bag all the time.
Headphones are nice...uhh, never becuase when im at home, i got a 5.1 surround sound system for a reason. Its loud in the house for everyone to hear so they know not to talk to me.

when is the last time you left your house? | I wasn't listing it as one of my life's achievements. I was directly responding to SouLeSS's comment that excessive volume is bad for your ears. Stop trolling.
And Saturday. |
