| When I was in Indian Guides with my dad we used to go to White's Landing at Catalina and they had a ping pong table. I was the champion of everyone. I love ping pong, but haven't played in a long ass time.

| When you get good at the game its no longer ping pong you call it table tennis. lol
My friend had an awesome table and we started playing years ago. Got good at it, and bought better paddles. We would play for hours each day. 4 hours one day and no less than 2 any other. We'd have game after game...hell we'd ust practice serving the ball and trick shots and spin. My god the spin we could get. We could hit any spot we wanted with any spin that we felt we wanted to hit.
I love table tennis. If you want to know what paddles are good I can give you a few tips. And believe it or not, you don't need to get the most expensive one to have a good paddle. Although how you like to play depends on the paddle too. I love spin one day and power shots the next.
Those cheap paddles you get with a set are difficult to play with and I recommend start with those. That way if you decide to get really into it it will be easier for you to switch over into the more "intense" paddles. lol
Those cheap paddles we call them "wood" for whatever reason. Its difficult to play with wood against other paddles but if you can master wood then you will piss off the other player mainly of flat hits. Because a lot of the "better" paddles use a lot of spin. And playing against flat can mess them up, but wood always has its downfalls.
omg I'm rambling. lol. I LOVE THE GAME. PERIOD.

| You cannot be azn. They are mad nuts. The Chinese harvest children to begin their table tennis wars. They trains 26 hours per day 8 days per week with only 4.24 mins for 1 water break biweekly.

| I also used to play ping pong like crazy...3-4 hours a day non stop...Get a good friend to play against and practice. Make sure you play against different people also so you can get used to their play styles.
Also, PRACTICE SPINS AND SMASHES WITH BACK HAND ALSO...Most people that try to learn ping pong by themselves end up lacking on spins and back hand. Look around in the internet for techniques...
Even if you lose against your friend practicing spins and smashes, keep playing...Don't get pissed if you lose (the game can get really competitive for some reason), just try to improve on your weak points.
I dont mean to sound arrogant, but every single thing I just said is extremely important for you to excel...

| Ping pong is the shit when you are just looking to have a good time with some friends. Heck one time me and my friends played for like 4 hrs on this mega tournament we made and I got 2nd place (only because the 1st place guy was asian and he used his slanty eyes to spin the ball perfectly.) |

| Dang QuiSilver and PaseBreak. You guys sound hardcore.
I do love it though, i play with my brother most the time, we are pretty evenly matched. But since he plays Tennis he knows how to do all the spin and stuff. He always gets me on the top spin.
I have a few old pattles and balls that came with the table. One broke when i was playing with my little brother. The handle snapped right off.
I used to be obsessed with pool. Now that i have a ping pong table im practicing my shots everyday. |

| I played it back in High school. I wasn't very good at it because I would hit the ball too hard. |

I play tennis too but my friend is really good at tennis. I used to be able to somewhat play decent against him but he's way too good now. State shit going on with him.
I remember one summer we were on a tennis summer program thru the city and one morning before we played tennis we'd warm up with a good hour or two of ping pong and then play tennis. Good times. Then after tennis, eat, and go back to playing ping pong. My god, the good times....the good times...
I wish I could play pool better because here in the army a lot of the guys play pool and are rather good at it. I just hate spending 1 buck to play every game. For as many games you could play a night that can add up quickly

| I live out in the middle of nowhere. People don't come out this way.
And fact is, I lost touch with all my high school friends, and haven't found more than one or two college people I don't hate.
Mostly, I play ping pong with my parents. Or pool. Or foosball. We have all 3...our game room kicks ass. |
