Windows Movie Maker. Nearly All video editers allow you to input voice overs, since a Video Editer must have an audio track along with a video one.

But, for easy, and free, use WMM. Make sure to get the latest version, the older one is buggy as hell.

All subtitles are is text that is shrunk and lowered to the bottom 3rd of the screen. WMM has a preset for that already, but it isn't custimizable.

You mean, add a black bar at the bottom for Subtitles, or, incase a video has subtitles and you don't want it, remove that part? Well, It's been a bit since I've used WMM, but as far as I know, you can't custimize it that much. If you want to get rid of subtitles, that means cropping that part of the screen, and WMM simply can't do that.

And I meant that subtitles aren't a special preset or anything. If you have Premiere or similiar programs, you make your own subtitles by typing normally, then just positioning it where you want it, and making it smaller; WMM does all that for you in one click.

Uh.. i'll find out what program we use at school when we do the school news, but this stuff allows you to do pretty much anything to video and sound. Think of it as a photoshop for movies/music.

We currently have a 5minute remix of about 8 LinkPark songs on one song that we are still mixing and putting together.

Are you looking for some kind of freeware? I would try VirtualDubMod (http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net/). I've only used it briefly, but it's supposed to be pretty good.

Yeah, virtual dub is pretty good, I've never gotten it to work for what I wanted, but I've heard good things.

Photoshop for Movies/Music? It's called Premiere. Do you use Macs for your school news editing?
