Check out the email my companys boss sent to everyone today.
Winterfest PArty I want to thank and acknowledge the Employee Committee - Gina Dion, Diane Ihnat, Thomas Frazier, Ann Marie Eaton, Marla Taylan, Michelle McCurry, Jennifer Bolan, Mikki Loschen, Jackie McIntosh, Sylvia McGaughey, and Joyce Stevens - for the great job they did in bringing the Winterfest Party together.
While I don't know the exact number that attended there was a great turnout from both offices. The decorations, the band, the food, the karoake and the fellowship were all excellent. For those that weren't able to attend, the AccuCup Race Champions were announced. Patrick Eastman is the Cup Champion ($100), Marla Taylan finished second ($75) and Serina Olsen finished third ($50). I hope everyone had a good time.
There is one situation on which I want to elaborate. I hesitate to discuss this as I do not want the poor judgement of a few to tarnish an otherwise great outing. However, I've already heard a number of inaccurate statements of what occurred. First of all, the party was scheduled to end at 11:00 and the two cash bars were scheduled to close at 10:30. The caterer, Rothchild, has liability should an individual be injured during a party or after leaving the party as a result of a guest drinking too much. Therefore they must be in control of the amount of alcohol consumed by persons at their events. Unfortunately, as the evening progressed the caterer began to find empty miniature liquor bottles. In conjunction with finding the empty bottles an individual was observed staggering in the hallway. Because of this, one of the bars was closed at 10:15. The second bar was closed a short time later. When more empty bottles were found it was apparent that closing the bars would stop consumption. The caterer was forced to end the party at 10:40.
I apologize to everyone who was penalized by the inappropriate actions of a few individuals.
The indivudal staggers in the hallway was me o.O
