| Being the 'cool uncle' can almost never work, because there is always some mystery lurking underneath there, something not quite right about him.
I say just be yourself, and be the best you can to those kids. My cousins, I consider them my nephews cuz I see them so often, just treat them the way you would've wanted to be rteated. Be a man, and not a doucherator, go out of your way to help them sometimes, babysit because you love them, offer your sister/brother a night on the town by themselves, you can watch the kid.
Just use common sense.

ive been an uncle since i was like 9 years old.
