Recording...

My friends and I want to record us playing some music. What is the best option I can use to record us for a little cost? Software isnt that big of deal, Im more worried about hardware.

http://www.sound-recorder.com/

I'm not going to say that you should download Advanced WMA/MP3 Recorder and get a cracked CD key for it. Because that's bad. And as for hardware... get an Audigy sound card (whichever one you'd prefer... depends on the quality of what you want). I have never had the immediate need to record something of high enough quality that I needed to buy a mic.

I recorded a little something using that WMA/MP3 recorder... if you wanna hear it, contact me on AIM/MSN. It's pretty nice, I promise.

O, I already have a card. Its pretty good at that. I just have no clue what the hell Im doing. Like do I need a cord that goes from the amp to the sound card or from guitar to sound card or do I record from a mic? See, Im really lossed...

I don't know how it works with guitars/amps, I always thought you'd have to use a mic. JD knows about sound and stuff, maybe he'd know...
