| I ****ing hate kid gamers
Seriously, gamers lower than age, like, 16 should all be rounded up and shot. These are the dumbest ****ing people on the face of the planet.
I play a lot of AdventureQuest, right? DragonFable too. Naturally being no stranger to forums, I hang out on the boards from time to time.
In my time there I have come to the realization that games targeted at young gamers are like feeding grounds for complete and total morons.
What set off this rant? I'm so sick of people refusing to understand the concept that the character class of general outlaws often known as "thieves" in many fantasy games is in fact called a "ROGUE" and not a "ROUGE."
ROGUE, ROGUE, ROGUE, ROGUE, ROGUE!
Rouge is a ****ing cosmetic, used to make chicks' faces more pink. For medieval whores, it was used to make the bitch's nipples more pink...as well as areas even further down.
The final nail in the coffin of my tolerance for gross stupidity was when I saw somebody there on that board with an avatar...and let me clarify that regular members who have not received special recognition may only choose from a preloaded selection, created and loaded by the staff...and avatar with the picture of said thief-class's face on it...with the title in big fancy oldtimey lettering: ROUGE.
It was a facepalm the likes of which can give you a concussion. I have had it up to here with how ****ing stupid people can be, and this was just icing on the goddamn cake. How can these people even function in society? Is this what happens when your TV raises your kids?
I'm so disgusted with this, I had to bitch about it somewhere and doing it on that forum would get me banned. Therefore, you assholes are the people I'm venting to. Say something, don't say something...I just had to get it off my chest. |

Isn't it though? I mean, a common typo is one thing, but when it's the consistently "normal" way to say it...I just about shat myself when I saw it on a staff-created avatar.
Btw, to any mods..."shat" is the past-tense of "****" and as thus is not swear filter evasion. If you didn't want that word used, shoulda bleeped it. | |

I've actually seen a player NAMED "rouge". They denied making the mistake after finally finding out that it was the wrong name of the class. But everyone knew they meant rogue.
Honestly what smart person can't tell the difference?

The inability of today's youth and future to comprehend the proper spelling of a FIVE-LETTER-WORD is nothing? These are the people who'll be paying for our social security. These are the people who will be working in the hospitals and nursing homes on which we depend for our lives. These are the people who will be handling our food.
Worse yet, these are the people who are going to be fighting in our wars. "Jee Edgar, what end of the gun does the bullet come out of? I got confused."
If it was just this one case, I'd be fine. It's a pet peeve but I'd get over it. But as a whole, people in this world are getting dumber and dumber. It's reverse evolution, our species is degenerating into a bunch of primates that sit around and giggle to each other as they thump on the floor in front of themselves.
It's a symptom of a larger condition, one that worries me to no end about what ****ing imbecile will end up in a control room somewhere and think to himself that fateful thought: "I wonder what THIS button does." | |

Well, let me just say we aren't exactly old. These kids you speak of are probably less than 10 years younger than ourselves. I wouldn't worry about our well-being in our golden years, as these kids won't be far behind.
I mean really, no one really gives a **** about correct spelling and grammar when they are young. It comes with time. I know I couldn't have cared less.
Oh and as for social security, I think it's best you just forget it ever existed and start saving now.
