Here's how I look at it.

It's my flag, I paid good money for it; It is, of course under my ownership.

If I choose to burn my property (Excluding burning your house down to college insurance money, that's fraud) it's my own darn decision.

Example: If I choose to set fire to my PC would you arrest me for it?

Lol , well a dog is not really a flag but you could say the same about your pet. I think they made flag burning illegal because it is the symbol of the nation. Noone should burn a flag in a protest manner, because that means, the whole ****ing nation should burn, just cus of one political dissagreement.

Since when is thinking that the whole nation should burn illegal? Really, this all boils down to freedom of speech, and opinions. If you restrict the burning of flags, you substantially restrict the freedoms that we should simply have (legally, and protected by our constitution). Some may find the act rude, and disrespectful, but flag burning *atleast should* be a part of our own rights. It just isn't logical to outlaw. It's no worse than saying "**** you president bush".

for the record, i think americans have a gigantic stick up their ass when it comes to the flag.

theyre so uptight about it, and being in boy scouts, i got to see it first hand.......dont leave it out after dark, dont let it touch the ground.

youre not denegrating your country when you burn it, or do whatever to it....

youre just defiling a piece of cloth. sure, theres what the flag symbolizes, but isnt it more important to keep that symbolism alive within the people minds, instead of assigning it to a stupid flag? christ....i say let em burn all the flags they want. long as they dont burn the people...and thats where the real substance of america lies.
