Besides, if the bible is as symbolic as you claim and should not be taken literally, then it can't be disproven (or proven), anyway, since it deals with symbolism rather than cold, hard facts.
Also, if we're going to argue about whether or not humans have souls, I think we should first come to an agreement upon what a soul is, exactly.
