| It already has influenced our language, for instance some people use woot out loud as an exclamation. Sometimes I even hear the occasinal LOL (the sounded out abbreviation) from people. In fact if I am leaving my room, or my lab station for a few minutes I will even scroll brb on a piece of paper to let people know I won't be gone for long.

| I think it would be kind of frightening for them to actually be put in the dictionary....I can understand using abbreviations when typing since it's faster, but in real life, I'm not sure. It's fun to yell actualy internet words like "woot" or "pwned" every once in a while, but spelling out things like "lol," "jk," "omg," etc. just sounds awkward and kind of dumb. But yeah, I'm guessing that one day there will be even more of that than there is now :/ | |

| I don't think I have heard people say "el oh el" or "oh em gee double-u tee eff"...I have heard people say nub and pwned and woot...I don't think this will be added...it's just slang afterall. Notice how long it took the word "Aint" to get in the dictionary?
