| Most powerful thing on Earth? At this very moment, what do you think is the most powerful thing on the planet? I mean... what is power, really?

| It has limits. Campacity and our biological needs are those limits.

| Limits? Right... care to point out just where those limits lie, kuzmich? 'Biological needs' just doesn't cut it. You see, thus far, nobody's really fully exploited the power of the human mind. Heck, we don't even use most of our minds anyways...so how can you claim there's a limit. As far as anyone knows, the human mind has infinite potential. If there ARE limits, they wouldn't be based on biological needs, but the sheer number of synapses in our brains.
As to the original question: I don't think you can just claim anything is 'the most powerful thing on earth'. You see, any action can lead to an infinite number of reactions. Just think of the butterfly effect. An event as seemingly innocuous as a pebble dropping in a pond can cause an infinite number of reactions (the ripples). |

| By powerful, do you mean destructive power? I mean, an atom bomb can do some serious damage. But at the same time, there are incredibly powerful biological weapons. Or do you mean the most powerful engine?

For example reflexes, your mind can't control them, thats one limit. Hormones, your mind can't control them either. If you mean that mind is brain then it has limits. Brain can carry out many functions, but not the limitless amount. We don't use all of our brain to store information, thats right, but not because we don't need it. Because we can't.

| The human mind can control everything. Instincts, impulses, fears, biological needs. There are no limits to the human mind. You can even control your reflexes if you are trained.

| The human mind couldn't survive in space because it 'needs' oxygen to survive that is a limit, there is only so much information a human mind can hold. It's a fact. I don't know why this is being debated. It's not like the people could destroy the world with their hands but nuclear weapons could. |

| I think water is the most powerful thing on earth.
It brings with it the power of life and creation.
It also has the power to kill - tsunamis and floods.
Plus, everyone and every creature needs water to survive.

| Would not the Earth itself be the most powerful thing on Earth?
For Earth contains so many things that our solar system does not have and also many other stars' solar system does not have. It is truly something powerful. It contains humans, which as people have said, is very powerful. It contains water, which as Cobalt said, very useful indeed. It contains air, which supports life. Also, the Earth itself is also destructive... hurricanes, tornados, and of course, Volcanoes... which I heard a while back that there is one near California or something really big volcano that if it exploded could do serious damage. It was like more than a few nukes combined or something? Oh well. Dunno what I'm talkinga bout.

| Yeah but Earth isn't on top of Earth or in Earth. Natural weather is very destructive and powerful, seen day of tommorrow? As far fetched as it seems a disruption in something could freeze the world or flood it. Hmm hydrogen is very powerfull just make a load of hydrogen bombs with all of it on the planet BOOM! |

| The average person uses 10% of their brain power. Einstein used around 14%. It has limits, but if someone were able to use the entire power of their brain, theories like ESP and Superman wouldn't be so far off.
But the ultimate power at the moment is probably atomic bombs or nukes. |

| No.. it would just mean you are ****ing smart, Einstein used more of his brain because he knew more and was able to accumilate more faster, he didn't have psychic powers. |
