| Military Technology discussion We didn't have a good old military technology discussion thread in a long time, so lets have one now. Let's begin by comparing T-95 tank to its american counterpart the latest version of Abrams. Basically T-95 is a revolution in tank making, its dezign is different from any tanks ever made. I will provide links and additional informaion as we go on.

| They had a superior armor, but a small range, and calliber for example in the battle of Kursk many were destroyed from the distance.

| Well Id say they were the backbone of the counter attack surronding the german 6th army. The Panzars were amazing tanks, and the russians needed a tank like the T-34 to counter. Us American had the pathetic sherman. But now we have better things

| I guess we have the abrams http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m1.htm
Im not up to date on the newest american tanks but you might find this interesting: http://world.guns.ru/assault/as61-e.htm
Its are newest aussalt rifle. I read a more interesting articale in Popular Mechanics. It has a ton of configeurations and is hopefully set to replace the M-16(a weapon we have used since Vietnam) I cant wait to see how helpful this weapon turns out to be

| Yeah i heard about that one, its very light. Russians developed a new gun too, its AM-94, and its recoiless, i mean no recoil at all, then you shoot the barrel moves back and forth and absorbs the shock wave. It already started replacing AKMs which were used since 50s. I try to find a link.

| Wow, no recoil. Im sure everone would like one of those. I like the design of the XM8. Its so easy to config to. My fav Russian weapon has to be the PPSH (you know what Im talking about!) and the the Mosin-Nagant. I know nother other than WWII russian weapons

I know nother other than WWII russian weapons | PPSH was good, although a bit too heavy, but reliable, not sand not dust not anything could make it jam. M-16 on the other hand jams quiet easily, this switch to the new gun is what US army needs.

| well the us army is starting to make a new high tech gun which could shoot regular ammo and a grenade launcher. no recoil, you know how many countries would love that?
i think it was in 2010 or something but the us air force is replacing their old fighter planes to the joint slip fighter. looks like a great bird of prey
i can't remember which country, but i think it scottland where for now, they have the stealthiest navy ships in the world
in the future, the battle will be decided by stealth instead of all out fire power

| in the future battles will be decided by .30 caliber railguns disguised as floating logs.
which is a masterful combination of stealth and firepower.
just google railgun.
oh, and satellite mounted lasers, that concentrate massive amounts of heat on targets around the world, demolishing them.
w00t.

in the future, the battle will be decided by stealth instead of all out fire power | Automatic rifles/grenade launchers have been around for a while, and AM-94 is the only recoiless gun on earth right now, and only russia makes it, it has an option of adding a grenade launcher below the barrel. So we already ahead of you in that.
