Abortion

I was wondering what people thought about abortion. I myself don't think we should have it because i think it is no different than murder. IF YOU DON'T WANT A BABY WEAR A CONDOM!

This thread has been done several times, so I'm going to paste my response from before...because I'm lazy, and my opinion has not changed.

Abortion is a very controversial subject, and I do have mixed feelings about it...but for the most part, I believe it's totally wrong, and I am against it.

Overall, I believe abortion is wrong...and I WOULD consider it murder...to the fetus...but I can see WHY people would get abortions. People need to think about what they're doing...what the fetus could have grown up to be, and how they're ending it's life. A fetus IS a living thing...it isn't just something you should be able to throw away. The fact remains, like it or not...abortion is taking an innocent human life. An unborn baby is more than just some object.

In my eyes, getting an abortion is a very selfish, and un-responsible action. I believe if you think you're mature enough for sex, you should be forced to suffer the consequences. It was YOUR choice (usually)...and you should deal with what YOU made. If you want sex, but don't want a baby...use protection, it's as simple as that. If some teen or adult...is stupid enough to go out and have un-protected sex, and ends up pregnant (against there wanting)...I have no sympathy for them. They should stand up to their responsibility, and act as a parent.

Ok, here's where my mixed feelings come in. As much as I believe abortion is wrong...I can see WHY it happens. People are un-responsible...some people just aren't ready for a child. They feel that an abortion is a last resort. And I can see that...but...this is where I dis-agree.

Even if you are un-fit to parent, you can put the child up for an adoption. It will grow up, and most likely have a good enough life away from the actual birth mother.

Another situation I can understand would be a rape case. Just the thought of carrying a rapists baby could be too much for anyone. Just the idea of who created it would be sickening.

As you can easily tell...I'm against abortion. I feel it's wrong as I said, and can be avoided. I'm not saying the parents...for the most part are bad people, or even insulting them...but I feel it's a thoughtless, selfish decision to make.

I would rather see, a creature that is almost not even alive be destroyed, than see lives of people ruined because they got raped or their condom didnt work.

Condoms arn't 100% effective, you know?

I saw the lamest bumper sticker though a few days ago; "If you're against abortions, DONT GET ONE!"

I was like "what the hell? Thats like saying "If you're a vegiterian (butchered that word) then DONT EAT MEAT!"

But in all seriousness, I have no problems with aborting a baby. I don't consider it alive until it can sustain it's own life outside a mother. So until then, I don't think it's any different than whacking off your own thumb.

And the supreme court has already ruled on this whole thing, so I really don't see what the arguement is.

And since YOU don't believe in abortion, you can adopt all the babies I have from now on.

you know what i don't get it's mostly liberals who are for abortion. yea right killing a baby isn't bad but choping some tree down is terrible

i have to agree with this.and also protection doesnt always work.condoms can break and other things might now work.it should be up to the mother of the child.people need to stay out of other people bussiness just a little bit.

if you wanna have sex you should have to face the consequences sure a condom could break or not work but you can always not have sex
