| Escape from alcatraz. read the story somewhere @ www.alcatrazhistory.com
I just saw the movie and, well, is it possible for the escapetees to survive? The odds are against them but do you think at least one made it alive?

| I saw a TV show where they tested it using the same exact methods that one reportedly used... and they actually were able to do it.

| I like to think that one or more of them made it. It is a guards duty to keep them locked up, and it is a prisoners duty to try and escape.

| Yeah definiely they could've escaped alive, yeah the odds were stacked up against them but there is always a chance of a organised escape working. |

Two high school students swim from Alcatraz to Fisherman's Wharf -- something most prisoners were unable to do. |

| I assume they all tried to escape during the summer or MAYBE spring? I'm sure the waters would be too cold in fall or winter. Hell, in winter they could die from hypothermia..

Anyway, the movie rocked. I seriously cannot say whether I think they survived or not. I am 50/50 on it. I would put my bet on that they died though.
