Ok, it pretty much says that a tape from who they think is Bin Laden (being vonfirmed now I'm assuming) is offering a truce to the European Nations if they get their troops out of Muslim nations and stop helping the United States. He is giving them 3 months to comply or he says Europe will face a new wave of terror.

Does he seriously think the Madrid bombing scared Europe enough to negotiate with terrorists? There is no way in hell he is going to get anywhere. All he's doing is telling us he's still alive. Hostages have been being taken and threatened (the 3 japaneese guys hreatened to be burned alive if Japan didn't pull out of the coalition have been released, but one of the Italians was killed on video.)

Does anyone here think Europe will work with Bin Laden? Spain is the only country that might... They won't deal with terrorists... but they will pull out if we dont turn control over to the UN soon in Iraq.

Well, opinions? Maybe some people from Europe can tell me something i don't know, or what they think will happen?

There's no way our European, Asian, North and South Americas, Austrailian, or Muslim allies are pulling out. The UN is involved, and thus Spain no longer has any quams. France is scared, really. They don't have the military or intelligence resources to truely deal with a real threat. They don't have any forces in Iraq (like they'd help), so that doesn't matter.

Osama bin Laden is grasping for straws. I have a feeling this tape was recieved because of two reasons.

1) We are not stepping down our plan to hand sovereignty to the Iraqis by June/July.
2) We are close to finding our number one prize, ObL.

He's desperate, and that's all that matters. Desparity is the last little vestage of hope we want him to have because it brings stupidity. The tape was stupidity in motion. If it is verified that the tape is legit, it proves he is alive, and it may help verify his location.

Osama Bin Laden however is a very crafty and very rich man. It may have taken many, many years for the man to plan and to set in motion his plan on the WTC and the Pentagon, but he is no fool.

I agree I think he is gettin desperate, but I won't count the fucl<er out yet, just b/c he is so damned crafty. I'll say I lost my share in the WTC, and I wonder when the last time we had a public hanging on TV was, but the way that Dubbya pushed the threat onto Iraq and not using those troops to go out and capture ObL was a little depressing for me. It seemed to me like Bush wanted Sadaam b/c he did try to kill his father and the terrorist attack opened up that ray of light for him. Instead of Iraq and Sadaam now we should have ObL.

Remember he is a hero in the eyes of many people in that region who truly do despise the west. They will help him in any way possible.

All countries including France have declined this "truce".

And as D.F.I. so put it, "Fucl<ed if you do, fucl<ed if you don't". ObL would still attack b/c he would think security would be lessened.

We really should just arrest the country and release those who vow and we know won't try to kill. Bring the rest to Guantamino and show them a jail.

He is desperate, i mean he went agaisnt his own reliogn and he threatens nations that maintain others. as some may know Russia doesnt have troops in Iraq but we did persuade some other nations to help US, our prime minister was also the one to propose to UN that it should help Americans. There is an old Russian way of execution i mentioned a couple of times before.
