Where do you think it will take place, for what reason, and in how long?

I believe it will take place in the middle east, over oil, and will take place in the next 10 to 50 years.

April 29, 2005 it will be official started. It will end when we (like the morons we are) turn it into a nuclear war, and blow a few hundred A-Bombs and higher off, and decimate the Ozone layer. After that, we're back to caveman ages, until everyone dies off.

It's going to take place because a woman is going to come to power in the middle east area, and she will try to convert all of europe into her "type" - Kinda like Hitler, only chick version.

There has been a thread like this before, as lights pointed out. If Bush gets relected then a WWIII is very possible. I really believe that America will have a hefty hand in starting it. Another world war would probally happen now-15 years later on.

anyone I believe Axl is right... if there ever is going to be a world war it will deffiently be over oil. I think we will first try to make alternative resources but after that war will insue and it wont be pretty.

Like i have said before.... i dought it will be over oil but is a possiblility.... i mean we have electric cars and other ways of making gas to fuel our cars like hydrogen *i think*. Its all a matter of how much money people are willing to spend to get them from point A to point B.

America will enter into a war with China one day. I dont know if it will start another world war, but it will happen. If that doesnt start it, then it will happen in the Middle East, though not necesarily over oil. Of course America will be a big part of another world war, we are the strongest power.

That is how it will end up. Remember that China is right next door to the Middle East and if we keep putting our heads into an area that is so closely to a Communist power, the only one left in the world, sooner or later we will probably bump heads.

It will be over oil, more than likely b/c the US needs natural resources, and China, the world's most populated country does to. The US will never be able to invade China and visa versa.

If I had to guess I'd say it would happen within the next four years, with Dubbya winning the election and showing what an idiot he actually is.

nukes are only dangerous in the hands of terrorists willing to die for their cause, or insane leaders like the north korean dictator. any normal country, or any country that wants to stay alive after the war win or lose, will not use nukes. i think its stupid how people all say "WERE GOING TO KILL OURSELVES WITH NUKES"

trust me, were not that stupid. if a terrorist organization nukes us were not going to retaliate in a nuclear manner. a nuke from terrorists will nto be dropped from a plane or launched like a rocket. it will be detonated from the ground, sneaked into a major city.

we will be more paranoid than we are already and national security will take priotiry over everything... this will extremely limit freedom so i hope no matter what happens people dont freak... i know this isnt the case after the airlpane industry taking a dive after 9/11... they put fear into us sadly.

if 2 major countries were to fight with nuclear warheads they both would want a end to hostilities as soon as possible. they wouldnt just "bumb the **** outta everything" they would launch nukes at enemy nuclear silos they know of, and the remaining nukes would be launched at major cities (or threatened to launch if hostilities do not cease)

i do believe that north korea is going to bomb something big in cali such as the golden gate. hell that guys crazy hell do just about anything. then south korea will obviosly take over north korea and make it one unified country

the south couldnt take the north without our help, but we have plenty of soldiers stationed in south korea. the minute north korea nukes us our soldiers would be pouring over the border.

I think there are too many factors involved in world politics to predict what will start World War III. People never imagined that Germany would have the guts to move into the Rhineland, or that they would ignore Wilson's 14 points and the Treaty of Versailles.
You can never tell with these things.

A thing like the assasination of an Archduke caused a war on a world scale. I wonder what else could?

Why would it be about oil? We aready are almost able to create it artificially. Just its not cheap, and its not quite done. Also it will be cleaner (Since it wont have to be refined) and more efficiant. It wont be the cause of the next world war, if there even is one.

Dinosaurs are believed to of died out from a meteor or a climate change, when people ask what scientists think will the the natural disaster that will wipe humans from the face of the earth, many say something along the lines of: 'Well I don't know what it will be, but I don't think it will be natural' ~ For all you slow processing people, they are implying that humans will wipe themselves out. That will probably be what happens if there is another world war the extinction of the human race, or at least a sufficiant ammount to set them back millions of millions of years in technology and whatnot, then when the sun gets big enough, and close enough to earth the last of life on it will die, the oceans will drain ice caps will melt, then end of the world.

Oil, oil, oil.. its all about oil ^_^. Of course, Americans these days are anal to realize that we have a huge reserve of oil in Alaska, but our beloved environmentalists want to protect... uH... what was it... oh yea, the barren landscape with a few scattered animals and mosquitos.

Then again, if worst comes to worst, a war probably won't be fought over oil. If we have to, we can become somewhat self sufficient on Alaska. That is, if Congress gets a clue that relying on imported oil is basically signing an economic death warrant.

As I've said, its really hard to predict something as massive as World War III.. could be started by who knows what.

No one said oil alone was going to kill us.... like rygon said, wars will start over oil... alternative oil or resources might of worked back 30-40 years ago but by the time oil does run out or come damn close to it the population of the world will get so high that war will happen. It takes oil to run food companies. Like the packaging and processing of meat or something like that.
