Revolutions Communism and Their Long Lost Leaders

I was reading the post on Communism, and i realized that some of the Revolutions that have taken place over time; have mainly been about destroying communism, or fixing it.
I also thought of a few Leaders of Communism that the world should probably miss, because places like Cuba and China would be better with them still around.

The first would be Che Guevara from Argentina... you may know of the fabled che, and if you're a college student you may see his poster drapped in some rooms around campus. If Che was still around then maybe Cuba would be a little better off than it is now with just Fidel. For those of you who dont know, Fidel wanted to start a socialista economy (socialist) and Che swayed him towards communism and he had the USSR come into Cuba and start teaching communism to the people. Which leads to Che's death. The US's one and only CIA hated Che, because of what he was doing to Cuba which was once a major tourist attraction for US tourists. So they captured him and killed him.. Which i believe was one of the Beginning downfalls to the Cuba problem.. The loss of Che's best friend Camillio and the unstable Raul Castro were some of the others but Che's death probably ended the power of the revolution, even though Castro is still in power. Che became a Martyr in death however, which leads me to think thats why Castro is still in power, because Che believed in him, which is why the people follow him.

The Other that comes to mind, is Mao Tse-Tsung... He was a Communist in China and a very brilliant man, (Che took a lot of Mao's ideas and implemented them in Cuba).. If you want to know more check out some of his books like Quotes from the Chairman Mao.
My hands and wrists kinda hurt.. i started writing this after a 3 hr SC game lol

That's some interesting stuff. I hadn't heard of either of them. I guess the only ones I know of are the Lenin/Stalin generation. If you have anymore keep em coming man.

Plum, we all know you are retarded you dont have to remind as with your posts. Communism did work for 70 years in my country, all it needs is a bit motivation.

I believe Communism to be a great idea. It's human nature that screws it up. It's like Democracy is a great idea too but if we practiced it in a more pure fashion as Communism often is, we'd encounter the same problems.

Yup, thats why the country was just peachy under Stalin. Russia hasn't had the best communist role models.

The CIA government did train Bolivian soldiers to capture him, but they took the liberty of killing him, maybe because he had already been shot a few times. On a personal note I do believe it was uncalled for, that after killing him, they had to place his body in a laundrymat. Totally unnecessary act of cruelty.

Well the Russia might not have been the best place to live during Stalin's reign....but he did advance them from pitch forks to atomic bomb using communism.

So you're justifying what Stalin did to his people?

Absolutely not, I said it might not have been the best place to live, I was talking economically. I never said it was right, but you can't argue the facts. His means may not have been right, but no matter the way you look at it he advanced that country at an incredible rate.

Ok great. So long as he advanced the economy and the technology, its virtually of minor interest what he did to the people of Russia, or USSR.

Without Stalin we may have lost World War 2... He was a cruel dictaror, killed anyone he felt a threat or traitorous to the country. He killed millions of russians, but Russia DID play a major role with the allies in taking over Germany. Hell, they fought on their own front, they helped us force Germany into a 2front war. Without Stalin I doubt Russia could have stopped Germany. Germany did get screwed by the winter, and German armies were crushing Russian armies all over the place, but If Russia had poorly trained soldiers in addition to ancient tech, Germany may have won despite the winter... They may have been able to take cities a lot faster and uses the Russians supplies as the cold weather cut German armies off from supplies from home. Russia and their willingness to burn their own cities just to stop enemies from supplying... You never know, maybe Germany never stood a chance because of the winter...

Something to think about i guess.. I'm not sure where I was goin with that. I guess I'm saying Hitler would have had an easier time with Russia had Stalin not been around.

I'd agree, even though I believe Hitler would have won WW2 had he not attacked Russia in the winter....Stalin or no Stalin.

And I think you are still missing my point. I'm not trying to justify what he did, I'm just pointing at that under his reign the economy and technology advanced at an incredible speed.

Hitler would have won WW2 if he didn't make so many idiotic mistakes. And also, he could have beat Russia if he had only took Moscow in the beginning of the invasion, he even stated that "Moscow is of no importance", and he attacked way too late in the year, he spent a month neutralizing Greece because Mussolini idiotically attacked Greece with a smaller army. And what was up with Stalingrad? "Let's ignore Moscow and attack Stalingrad", great job genius. And Russia in WW2 wasn't really communism but more of a dictatorship by Stalin.

Stalin killed more Russians then Germans did during WW2. And becasue of him we almost screwed up in WW2, but he was put on drugs and the generals were free to make the military decicions. Stalin also disarmed red army 2 months before Germans attacked, he signed the non aggression pact and he was told by his spies that Germans were going to attack yet he disarmed the troops.
Damn you ppl how many times do i have to say this, winter cant kill 10 million German troops, it was red army, winter did help but it wasnt the main reason, the war lasted for 5 years in Russia its not always winter no matter what you think. We won it by tactics, size of the army, and in later years of the war technological superiority and of course some help on western front.
Oh and HItler did try to take Moscow but was forced in retreat by red army, after that he attacked Stalingrad.

I wasn't saying that it was just purely winter that made the Russians win, but it did give Russia a HUGE advantage.

How come? Germans had an advantage of having one gun per soldier and in first to years of the war superior tanks and plains.
