Hypothesize

I've noticed a lot of negativity going toward "What if Disney owned Blizzard/Diablo?" type threads, and very little understanding of "aweful" production. I have several things to say, then we can have some real fun.

1) Disney has several great films.
2) Disney owns many "PG-13 - NC17" production companies.

Now that those two out of the way, let's talk about companies that really are bad and have ruined many-a-good shows and such. This is where "Hypothesize" thread title comes in.

First:

What if DIC -- bad, really bad translator company -- were given rights to localize Diablo 3 or full production rights? Don't know them? A decent search engine might show you what they've done .

Second:

What if PBS was given rights to Diablo? Do I need go on?

That's all I can think of for now.

Well if PBS were given the rights to Diablo 3 i'd expect them to probably try to change diablo into some sort of learning game for kids
EIDT: oh yea, and maybe even make some kind of educational show to complement the game

I think PBS would do a rather well job with the Diablo series. They wouldn't **** it up like what happens to a lot of movies. coughdoom3cough. Seriously, I get SO pissed when I see good concepts pissed up by someone who has to try and make a name for themselves.

Disney owning Bliz, would completely ruin the company.

Reason being:
1. They do NOT do anything, that remotely deals with or looks like it would be dealing with the "devel" or evil deeds.
Case in point, when a rap music group known as Insane Clown Posse pitched that their music was about "God" but is shadowed by dark overtones to make it more exceptable to the masses. Disney signed them without ever hearing a note. Once they did, they were dropped, for "Sounding Evil".

2. Anything created by any employee working for Disney or any of it's sub buisinesses, is property of Disney itself. Anything, that is made previously is not used, or changed to their liking. Meaning if someone works for Bliz, and makes a doodle on a napkin, while being a subciderary of Disney, that "doodle" is property of Disney itself.

3. Often times Disney buys companies, uses it's name to increase stock shares, then sells the company at a later time to the highest bidder, making a huge profit. Sometimes destroying the sold company in the wake. Sometimes (not often) the company sold becomes huge due to the backing of the Disney name.

4. Disney, has no clue what is needed to keep Bliz going, they are not big into more mature gaming, and would not know what to do with a company such as this.

5. Disney has not had an original idea since Michael Isner left office, back in the late 80's early 90's. Since then it has done nothing but rip off old folk lore, or make horrible sequals to classic tales.

GOD! If PBS owned the rights to Diablo or the Bliz company, their would be nothing but muppets running around, spewing forth letters, numbers, and proper speech.

Oh my good god, can you imagine diablo or warcraft acted out with disney characters?

Anyhow, Disney's big moneymaker isn't it's kiddie shows, its all the production companies and television stations it owns, as well as the confidence of its investors.

btw, disney stock aint that hot right now.
