| War on Christmas? Anyone here actually believe the "war on christmas" is anything more than a couple hundred incidents of PC idiots going to the extremes in a country of 300 million? Anyone believe that the forces of "liberalism" are out to get Christmas and Christianity? |

| People should not be forcing their own opinions on others so violently. Why now?
They don't have to celebrate Christmas if they don't want to. Christmas drives the economy, gives an excuse for families to be together, and is a time when some of the happier memories in life come around. There is nothing wrong with that.* |

| Those people should celebrate it on December 26th. Unchristians have no right to hold the 25th as a holiday. Its disrespectful to the christian faith. I don't go celebrating Rhomadan(sp?) and Kwanza. |

No religious faith should interfere with those.

| The celebration of Winter Solstice in December was a pagan holiday complete with evergreen trees, that marked the return of the light & longer days, centuries before christians invented Christmas. The birth date of Jesus is not known. What is known is the fact that christians placed the celebration of Christmas around Winter Solstice as a way to convert the pagans and they turned pagan symbols of the holidays into christian symbols (like the trees).
Besides, christian faith is about loving and respecting other people (*unchristians* included) and not turing vindictive, agressive and totally unchristian whenever someone makes an anti-christian remark.

When I'm fasting during Ramadhan I always try to eat less during the evening when I'm breaking fast. For Muslims it's a great way to diet, as it pleases God as well...
