Yeah, meningitis is just one disease. And most of the time it is not transmitted sexually, excluding it from convention-based STD definition. Never mind...

Tribadism (looked it up on wikipedia) can allow for the transfer of vaginal liquid, thus making it and all other sexual activities, whether heterosexual or homosexual, a potential transfer of STDs. Boys and Girls, please get yourself checked before having sex. Better yet, abstain until you are married.

I have only had sex with two women. One was a thing where we used to hang out but never really thought of a meaningful relationship but one thing led to another and we ended up having sex. IMO she is attractive, but not a dime, enough so that when it's just you and her theres plenty of sexual tension. However as great as I thought it was it was nowhere near as satisfying as the other girl I've had sex with. We've been in a relationship for a month now and we've become more open to one another. It feels more meaningful in the fact that we care about one another and its not just heat of the moment get in and get out sex.

I think that we could have and equally good relationship without sex, but it adds pleasure and bring us closer together in a physical way. So it's just as mental as it is physical to me.

What most people find automatically disgusting about that would be that it goes against the norm of society. But what is really disgusting about it is the effect is has on the animal and what it implies as you doing it. Having sex with an animal is like raping someone. You're torturing the animal and violating it against it's "will" (of course, you could argue that animals may not have any will) even though it obviously would shows discomfort and pain. What it implies is that you have no regard for another beings feelings or well being and are willing to do anything to gain sexual pleasure.

I still fail to see the point of this debate. I don't know why you need some sort of logical reasoning for something as emotional and instinct-driven as sex. So I want to **** women, but not animals or vacuums. What's the big deal? I find the one thing to be emotionally positive while the other I find disgusting. Others like to **** men. Or whatever. It's their preference, now where's the problem?

I just read the thread and can assure you that they are not interesting. It's just a big pointless rabble with no central point of discussion. 'Sex' is a word and it has a definition that shouldn't be all too hard to understand. Now in an attempt to start something 'interesting' you get everybody to talk about whatever comes to their minds first. It's terrible. One person talks about religion, the other about animals, the next about rape, STDs and homosexuality. The purpose of the thread was for people to talk about "do [they] put value on the act of sex itself or the pleasure that comes from it?" The reason why I created this thread was to "not [to] challenge...any specific person's beliefs, but rather a cultural bias." Simply put, it is question of nature versus nurture; is it nothing more than a natural urge such as you have stated, or has the culture around us, nurture, changed or given meaning to a simply physical action, or maybe aspects of both. As a side note, the quotes I used to answer your questions are from the very first post of this thread - the purpose of this thread was clearly stated there.

If you dislike this topic and wish to create a better one, I have nothing but support for you.

To me as a child of 13, sex to me still simply remains the act of furthering the human existance. Likely this is because I have not had it yet or something of those lines, but to me it seems to server two major purposes between the two willing partners. 1.) It has a chance of furthering the human race, and if they wear a condom.... 2.) I believe it is truly a matter of trust. No longer is it just a simple conversation between two, one is actually inside the other, like a symbolic meaning of, "I will go with you no-matter where it takes us".

I believe in the end we all need someone to love, someone to admire from afar or close. I am close to this as I often find myself head-over-heels in love with my friend. Sadly, she already has a boyfriend who is also one of my best friends, but that is alright. I do not love her because of the possible chance of having 'sex' with her (and that is quite unlikely, I'm not exactly handsome), I am in love with her because of her beauty and personality. And even though she is taken I feel great joy just being around here.

Perhaps sex is about four things.... Reproduction, pleasure, trust, and companionship?

I think that referred to orgasm. However, orgasm is a reflex, just as is sexual arousal. You can't really control when you have an orgasm (correct me if you over-sexed lot disagree).*
