anyone watched this 2 hour documentary on discovery? It explained scientifically that the plagues and the whole Exodus story really was fact.

They had to push back the date of the Exodus 2-300 years and there was lots of evidence to support the exodus being 2-300 years back. And coincidentally at that time a huge volcanic eruption occured in Greece. This caused huge earthquakes around that area. The earthquake released pockets of iron into the water creating iron hydroxide making it red (this also happened in Cameroon around 20 years ago). They related the Exodus plagues with the Cameroon incident where the lake in Cameroon turned blood red. Also, they got lots of rashes and boils due to the carbon dioxide apparently. And eventually the carbon dioxide was supersaturated in the water and it released into the Cameroon village and people who slept (low on the ground) all died mysteriously. This explained the plague where all the Egyptian first borns died because all the Egyptian first borns slept low on the ground while everyone else slept high or on the rooftops. The Hebrews weren't affected because they were standing at the time. The Exodus plagues were all exactly like that. (Fishes dying in the water, frogs jumping out of water because it was not clean, etc.)

All the plagues were explained in that documentary but I don't remember all the details so I won't say it. The ones that I said were the ones that I remembered the most.

The parting of the Reed sea was also explained.

Not sure maybe search bittorrent maybe they have it on internet. It was really interesting because they even found where the real Mt. Sinai was.

I had to sign up just to repost to this thread. I've been going crazy looking for the torrent. I caught most of the show and while some of what he said, parting the "reed" sea and the golden torque as the arc, sounded a little far fetched, I was amazed at his ingenuity in placing Mt. Sinea and figuring out of the 10 plagues.
