| Political stance? I happen to be an independant, because there are some things I'm liberal about, and others I'm conservative about. It's best not to limit yourself to one stance on every issue. But I'm not one of those green party people or anything. I was goin for Kerry in the last election.
So how about you guys?
I think there's going to be a lot of people voting for the fourth option. |

| I'm not big into labeling myself in a party, because I am really split on a lot of issues. But if I did I would consider myself a conservative libertarian (if such exists).
Generally, on the social side I am more liberal (democrat) and economically a conservative (republican). Though I will be the first to tell you my economic opinions are hardly developed.

| I'm a registered republican. I hate Reaganism.
And to make this thread less gay.... www.politicalcompass.org <-- take that quiz and post your results. The quiz is slanted left, so don't be suprised if your results come back pretty liberal. But bias aside, it provides a pretty good relative scoring of where you stand.
EDIT - My score:
Economic Left/Right: 4.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.31

| Why should we vote for an American party when everyone else has their own damn parties to worry about?
I'm a hardcore NDP voter. The democrates and conservatives are both too far right for me to even consider voting for. In fact the American political scheme is lacking a real left-wing party. The Conservatives are actually far right, and the democrates are centroused. Then again the scale is relative...
Your site doesn't work, c9h13no3. http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass/ should. http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/poli...6.50&soc=-5.28

| I'm your mom.
Not really, but that's what I voted. This is all I see of the two parties. In any case, I really don't know where I lie. It's not that I'm ignorant, it's just that I don't care. There's a difference, right? |

| Independent isn't a party that has set stances on issues. How can you be left of independent? I still have no idea what your economic views are even though you posted several detailed threads about the economy.
I'm registered independent, but don't really plan on voting any time in the near future. My main political beliefs can be summed up in this question from the quiz: "No one chooses his or her country of birth, so it's foolish to be proud of it."

| It really doesn't help to talk out of your ass. If it's not an issue you can relate to, why post? That means you, mr. Canada-doesn't-care-about-affiliation-because-we-make-maple-syrup.
What's really funny is that some of you think your country is so superior to America, when you have no strong basis for believing it. Wanna pull the "we don't attack people" card? That's because you probably can't....and win. Wanna pull the "Americans are barbaric" card? That's a sweeping generalization. Wanna pull the "your president's a moron" card? Although I agree, I didn't vote for him. Blame it on the KKK and the neo-nazis of America. Not to say that that is what you were gonna say, but don't try it.

| Firstly the poll is dumb, as people on the left side of the spectrum have nobody to vote for. Despite views in the U.S. their democrats are certainly right of centre. And there are other countries in the world you know, as are there people who vote for things like the Green party in the states.
Economic Left/Right: -8.25

Yes, I vote NDP .gif)
