| I feel time travel is impossible, not because the concept is inconceivable, but because "Time" in itself is inexistant.
Time is created by human consciousness, as you will probably notice most animals are almost completely unaware of it's passing.
Assuming it is a figment of the human mind, how would we be able to exploit it, to "travel" along it? We can't. It's just not there.
Finally, just a couple of open question: Suppose you go back in time (to before you were born), what then? Also, suppose you went back to that time you got killed.
Now to assume Time exists:
For this to work the device, and the person (or people) using the device will have to be seperate from "time". This, would be impossible. Good luck, folks.

| if timetravel were possible, and you went back and killed yourself...
could you do it?..
i mean, since you had already killed yourself, you wouldnt be around to go BACK in time and kill yourself, therefore leaving yourself unharmed... ECT.

| i think it is impossible. if people from the future learned the art of time traveling then they wouldve gone back in time to civilise the human race or stop polluton from happening. since that hasnt happened we are still polltuing the earth. if they destroyed the earth they wouldnt exist anymore so they couldnt have destroyed it. time paradox. just stupid. time travel is impossible. it denies too much shit | |

This is based on no scientific knowledge, but as far as I'm concerned...once time has passed it's gone forever, and does not exist. You cannot forward through it like a VCR tape...or go backwards.
