| What is the World in a Grain of Sand This is a poem I posted on a different forum in a contest. The theme was this:What is the World in a Grain of Sand?
Well, I liked this, so I thought I'd see what you all thought.
What is the World in a Grain of Sand?
A reverb in the wind?
A ripple of the ocean?
Or is it something... more?
Our hands held high,
Reaching for our destiny.
Grasping for the truth,
We look towards the past, as we head for the future.
As we come to understand life more and more, something is always gained, and something is always lost.
Memories,
Precious memories,
A fragment of the memory lost in the gap between life and death.
A voice is sung from the heart,
Human emotion.
When heard,
The voice becomes a lullaby.
Our voices speak,
But never change.
The tune will always be the same,
A silient requiem.
Yet, when is it our turn for a quite repose?
Who will sing us our song?
Who will sing us,
The prelude to eternity
