Ok, you want to really learn how to make Starcraft maps? Better get the big boy toys then.

I currently use...

SCMDraft (used for stacking minerals, placing literally every placeable unit, etc.)
Stardraft
Arsenal III (Stardraft and Arsenal III are just for fun, hehe)
Emerald Staredit
SC X-tra Editor (for placing units almost anywhere, trigger editing, and coloring text with ease)
GUEdit (for protecting maps and changing player colors)
SCEPMPQ

Well... I probably don't need half that stuff, but that's what I use. The last map I almost had finished was a really cool one called "Classic Risk" but then ironically someone else made one. Mine was MUCH different though, more like the board game.
